Deepen Your Bible Knowledge
If you are interested in enhancing or deepening your Bible training and education, we would like to share an opportunity you may find encouraging. The Lamb’s Academy of Biblical Studies is a work supported by churches of Christ and is dedicated to providing sound, Christ-centered biblical instruction.
Faith Into Action: Bible Hour Mat Project
Our Bible Hour students (1st–5th grade) recently completed a meaningful service project inspired by the lesson of Tabitha and her example of love, generosity, and service to others (Acts 9:36).
As part of this project, the students helped create sensory mats designed to bring comfort, engagement, and joy to others. This effort was truly a congregation-wide collaboration. The Tuesday Ladies Bible Class, along with several other members of the congregation, graciously shared their time, skills, and sewing talents to help bring this project to life. Together, adults and children worked beautifully, reflecting Tabitha’s spirit of serving with willing hearts.
One of the completed sensory mats has been donated to a VI instructor in Tyler, who works with visually impaired students. One mat will be used in our cradle roll classroom and the remaining mats were delivered to Oakbrook Nursing Home in Whitehouse, where they were warmly received.
New App Coming Soon!
We’re excited to announce that our congregation will soon be using Lightpost, a new communication app designed to help our congregation stay better connected. Lightpost will bring important updates, event details, ministry communication, and our church directory together in one easy-to-use place.
This tool will make it simpler for our church family to receive messages, stay informed, and engage with what’s happening at Whitehouse church of Christ.
Watch for an introductory email soon! It will include instructions on how to log in, update your information, and setup your profile.
More details are coming soon!
Bible Hour
Bible Hour is in full swing on Wednesday nights! Our 1st-5th grade students have been learning about Tabitha and the healing miracles of Jesus — and putting those lessons into action! Each week, they’re helping create sensory mats that will be donated to serve those in need in our community. What a beautiful way to learn and live out acts of service!
