Ringing in the New Year
After Wednesday evening services, our church family gathered to ring in the New Year with a relaxed and joyful game night. It was a wonderful way to linger together, enjoy conversation, and start the year with meaningful fellowship.
Tables quickly filled with a variety of games that brought out both friendly competition and lots of laughter. One corner featured a focused and thoughtful game of chess, while nearby dominoes clacked across the table as strategies were debated and victories celebrated. Jenga towers grew taller (and wobblier) with every turn, and a spirited game of mahjong kept players fully engaged well into the evening.
What made the night especially meaningful was the blend of generations and personalities—some deeply concentrated on the game in front of them, others simply enjoying the chance to talk, laugh, and connect. Moments like these remind us that fellowship doesn’t always require a formal program; sometimes it’s as simple as sitting across the table from one another and sharing time together.
We are grateful to everyone who stayed after services, brought games or snacks, and helped make the evening fun for all. As we step into a new year, we look forward to many more opportunities to connect, and grow together.
